At the workshop, everyone comes together to delve into Street Movements like breaking, capoeira, graffiti, rap, and skateboarding. We’ll explore the essence of these movements, inspired by their fighting spirit and unique flavours. From the DNA of a dance that fights, we’ll develop our own distinct styles, connected to the realities of our lives. During the workshop, Original Bomber Crew, a young dance collective from Teresina, Brazil, will share improvisational games that inspired their creative process for tReta, a performative invasion, running at SPRING Performing Arts Festival on Sat May 25, Sun May 26. tReta takes the sounds and movement from urban culture, to stand against oppression, daily struggle, and cherish the moment of being together.
