    AECFest, a festival-within-a-festival

    SPRING Performing Arts Festival is joining forces with the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) for the Asia-Europe Cultural Festival (AECFest) during SPRING 2026. This collaboration underlines the shared ambition to strengthen artistic exchange and creative dialogue between Asia and Europe.     Press release: SPRING PERFORMING ARTS FESTIVAL 2026: INTERNATIONAL THEATRE AND DANCE PERFORMANCES IN UTRECHT

    From 14 till 23 May, Utrecht in The Netherlands is the stage for the 14th edition of the SPRING Performing Arts Festival. For ten days, the city welcomes urgent and innovative international theatre and dance performances, art installations, and more, both in theatres and in outdoor locations across the city, such as the Neude and Central Station. The full programme is now online and ticket sales have started. This year, SPRING’s theme is “Extended Bodies/Expanded Minds.”

SPRING Performing Arts Festival is a ten-day international festival with innovative dance, theatre, performance and more in the city of Utrecht. You will find SPRING in the theatres, at special locations and in public spaces. At the festival you will see more than 25 adventurous and urgent performances from both near and far that dare to ask questions about the state of the world.
