Leandro Souza’s artistic production is structured between Brazil and the Netherlands. Through diverse partnerships and temporary groupings around shared artistic interests, he has formed a mobile collaborative network that provides support for ongoing research and production. His choreographic work develops in an expanded territory, on the threshold between languages, moving between knowledges, investigating unusual approaches to movement, hacking and forging creative tools and strategies. His work is a synthesis of tangled processes of making, seeing and thinking about art.
Leandro Souza has a degree in dance from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), a master’s degree in performance art from the same university and is currently finishing his master’s degree at Das Choreography program. In 2018 he received the performance award from the São Paulo Art Critics Association (APCA/Brazil).
