Alaa, a Dutch-Lebanese-Palestinian artist based between Amsterdam and Beirut, started his career as a light designer and scenographer then shifted towards making his own installations and performances. Since 2016, Alaa has been exploring the possibilities of merging installation and performing arts.
Degrees: BA Communication Arts from the Lebanese American University – MA Fine Arts from Hogeschool voor De Kunsten Utrecht. Alaa is a lecturer at AHK, HKU, and Sandberg Institute.
He is the founder & Program Director of the “Beirut Summer School for Theater & Performance”
