SPRING Academy

SPRING Academy 2019
10 days of theatre, dance and more: performances, workshops, lectures, encounters and exchange.

SPRING Performing Arts Festival invites artists who present work at the festival to share more than a performance within its contextual programme through SPRING Academy.

Situated in Het Huis Utrecht, SPRING Academy is a dynamic platform where artists share their knowledge and experience with students, researchers and (emerging) artists in different ways. Activities include, but are not limited to, watching performances, having dialogues with artist, attending conferences, and participating in workshops.

What does it mean to be human in 2019? How do encounters with rapidly evolving technologies and change resistant traditions affect our understanding of identity? Could robots ever develop gender roles, rituals and other defining human qualities? With this years’ theme Human(o)ID / Huma(n)ooit, SPRING Academy promises another exciting edition that will rock Het Huis Utrecht! Will you be joining our exploration?

Looking forward to seeing you in May at SPRING Academy!
