SPRING Academy Trajectories: Artistic Research & Archiving hosted by Szymon Adamczak

One of way looking at artistic research is to consider what sort of “knowing” and “knowledge” the art making brings about. In this trajectory we will look at the past and its enduring consequences on the present and future(s) through an archival lens. Together, we will speak about how artists create real-world conversations through engaging with evidence, documents and other forms of both tangible and less visible materials. How a research turns into a process and what does it take to share that with the audience? What about strategies that are ephemeral, embodied, time-based? And – what kind of ethics can be at play?
