Flora Detraz was a guest at SPRING before, as a remarkable performer for Marlène Monteiro Freitas (2017). This year the dancer-ventriloquist will be presenting a two-part solo that deals with the relationship between the body and sound. In Gesächt she pays tribute to baritone Dietrich Fischer Dieskau, studying his way of singing and moving onstage. The second part, TUTUGURI, focuses on the voice as matter, as a tool to construct meaning. Detraz creates a live soundscape composed of whispers, animal sounds, extraterrestrial sounds and spasms that will lead us to a world that is yet to be discovered.
