Topic Talk: Resisting Bodies
Topic talks are in-depth conversations on SPRING themes: current topics that matter.
What can dance and activism learn from each other?
What can dance and activism learn from each other?
This topic talk engages with resisting bodies not only on stage, but also beyond it. In public space, where bodies gather, move, and take a stand. By drawing connections between dance choreography in contemporary performance and forms of social choreography in public actions, the conversation explores how movement, presence, and the organization of bodies in space can generate resistance and produce political meaning.
Within this framework, choreography can be understood as a practice of resistance, care, and solidarity. Both within the performing arts and in the broader social sphere.
Join several Topic Talks throughout the festival at Stadsschouwburg, featuring artists, researchers, experts, and audiences. Let’s talk about resistance, the role of spectators in the field and beyond, art and power, ethics and AI, and more.
