What does it mean to gather, to witness together? 

This topic talk addresses spectatorship as an active, relational, and civic practice. In an increasingly individualistic and neoliberal society -where public space is progressively regulated and controlled-, can theatre offer itself as a renewed site of encounter for citizens? As a site for shared presence, collective reflection, and participation.   

This conversation reflects on how the performing arts might rehearse forms of civic coexistence, while also questioning if theatre is the right place to do so.
