Renowned Brazilian theater maker Christiane Jatahy would present The Lingering Now at SPRING 2020. Jatahy based this wonderful documentary theater on the Homer’s Odysseus and on his dream of returning home. Jatahy links his desire to the dreams of modern-day Odysseus; people in exile in Brazil and South Africa, in refugee camps in Lebanon, Palestine and Greece. This performance is the most recent result of years of research into refugees and what the concept of hope and utopia means to them. For SPRING on Screen, Jatahy shows us a short documentary about Prosper, a young man from Congo who ended up as a refugee in Brazil.
