The Dutch say “Eet smakelijk”, the English “Enjoy your meal”, the French “Bon appetit”. In China you don’t say anything and just start eating. But what does it mean? The British company Quarantine and Rania Ho and Wang Wei of the Beijing arts collective Arrow Factory explore the politics of food and notions of hospitality. The Kitchen Project is a mix between a cookery workshop, a cultural exchange and a performance. Join in the cooking and bring your appetite: everything must be eaten!
