Video and essay about the relationship people have with their smartphones

Francesca Lazzeri was member of the young Dutch theatre company Wild Vlees. Her show My shadow used to have a density was meant to have a try-out at SPRING. The performance is about our relationship with smartphones and social media, on the spotlight we put ourselves in permanently. It puts the potential of darkness against our digital over-exposure.

The rehearsals got interrupted by Covid-19. Since then our online-life got more intense, on the other hand life as we knew it got heavily interrupted. Maybe this break is a chance for the digital shade that Francesca was aiming for, for a realm of many possibilities? She wrote an essay about it and shows us the film amorphous by Alexei Ovsiannikov which evokes the unfinished.
