Crowd takes you on a fascinating journey through a dark and energetic world. On a desolate stage, covered with garbage and plastic waste, 15 young dancers give themselves over to hard techno beat from the iconic nineties. Movements in slow motion and changes in rhythm create an exciting suspense that entrances the dancers and the audience.
Austrian-French choreographer Gisèle Vienne is interested in the dark side of man. For Crowd she zooms in on our need for violence. In the flow of the young dancers we discover the blissful and potentially liberating aspects of violence in all its manifestations.
