Common Ground

Dance should be surprising and adventurous, according to choreographer Anouk van Dijk. Her acclaimed dance jewel Common Ground, her farewell performance created for Australian dance group Chunky Move,  is certainly that. Magical lighting, phenomenal dancers, and inventive use of the stage floor (which we’re not going to reveal here!) provide a unique theatrical language with a powerful impact. Tara Jade Samaya and Javier Monzon dance, spin, fight, and sacrifice themselves in the arena like pawns in a game of chess.
