Blue Tired Heroes

A blue costume with a red cape, red socks, yellow belt and red underpants: Superman! Has he ever grown old? Can superheroes even grown old? Can they get washed out at all? In Blue Tired Heroes, the Swiss choreographer Massimo Furlan releases a group of ageing ‘supermen’ to walk around Utrecht. Fat or thin, stooped or proudly standing tall, with or without health shoes or walking sticks: they haven’t forgotten their heroic gestures or their flying poses… Blue Tired Heroes is a funny yet moving performance that questions the fragile nature of man through heroism, icons and role models.
