born in Kobe, Japan, has lived and worked in Vienna since the 1990s. At the crossroads between documentary and conceptual performance where poetry, humour, the absurd, and criticism meet, his work examines the relationship between identity and globalisation, action and language, public and private, as in Goodbye (2016), All Together (2018), or Mitsouko & Mitsuko (2021). Matsune has taught performance practice at various institutions including the University of Arts Linz and Iceland University of the Arts.
