Ravemachine

Ravemachine, by Doris Uhlich in collaboration with Michael Turinsky, is a highly energetic show with two very different bodies. Uhlich and Turinsky are choreographers and performers. Beyond the stage, Turinsky mostly moves in his electric wheelchair and Uhlich uses her legs. In sampling the sounds of her partner’s electric wheelchair into thumping techno beats, Uhlich generates an energy that in turn seizes Turinsky. Energies of humans and machines are transferred and transformed, making the relationship between man and machine, ecstasy and form come alive. Electrifying.
