    CPR Practice

    Geumhyung Jeong
    Edition
    SPRING 2015

CPR stands for ‘cardiopulmonary resuscitation’, or, resuscitation through heart massage and mouth-to-mouth. In CPR Practice, Geumhyung Jeong is practising CPR in a re-enacted emergency, in which she sticks to the CAB-instructions, C: compressions, A: airway, B: breathing. The medical training session slowly transforms into a sensual game – of life and death. The South Korean choreographer and performer Geumhyung Jeong has a crush on machines: in her last show it was an excavator, now it’s a CPR-practice doll. With this fascination Jeong’s work focuses on the relationship between the human body and physical objects.
