Death deserves our attention, instead of our fear. Around the moment of dying, right before, during and immediately after, a multitude of possible human relationships is laid bare. In Dying Together Lotte van den Berg and a group of performers are creating a number of scenes that give new meaning to the concept of dying together.
What happens to people in a fully booked aeroplane, who don’t know each other but who find out they are going to crash? Do these passengers turn inwards, or do they cling to each other? And does it matter who is a Christian and who a Muslim, or an atheist? In the face of death, can we see our relationships with the people around us in a different light?
After Building Conversation, the Dutch theatre maker with the worldwide appeal Lotte van den Berg is returning to the theatre. Van den Berg is using the theatrical form to uncover human relationships. Creating an open and completely unique style, she invites her participants to come to different approaches and perspectives.
