The phrase ‘the seven wonders of the world’ refers to the seven impressive constructions from classical antiquity, such as the Great Pyramid of Giza. But the true wonder of the world, the Moroccan choreographer Radouan Mriziga asks, isn’t that the human body? After all, it is man who invented and built these ingenious architectural works. Isn’t the fact that man challenges the laws of nature so defiantly even more beautiful and mysterious than the structures themselves? With these questions in mind, Mriziga created his show 7. The stage is slowly transformed into a pattern of geometrical lines that highlights the beauty of the moving body.
