Meet two interdisciplinary creators who are developing new work for both SPRING Performing Arts Festival and Gaudeamus Festival in season 25/26: Nahuel Cano and Annabel Schouten. During an informal introductory evening, they will talk about their plans and show and play some sketches, followed by a conversation between artistic directors Grzegorz Reske (SPRING) and Martijn Buser (Gaudeamus) about the importance of interdisciplinary talent development in the city and province.
Annabel Schouten is a self-proclaimed sound finder who completed the Musician 3.0 program at the HKU and was Utrecht’s city composer in 2024. Nahuel Cano is an Argentine artist who works with performance, music, and video. He previously completed a research project at Residenties in Utrecht and was featured in “Ways to listen to a river” at both Gaudeamus and SPRING. Both are following a tailor-made program focused on research and development. The program is funded by the Province of Utrecht.
