How can we escape borders? In Transfrontalier, the Cameroonian artist Zora Snake tackles this question by literally opening himself up to the hope, pain and obstacles that are so characteristic of the long road travelled by refugees. What are real, imagined, geographical or mental borders? Both in Europe and in Africa? Surrounded by political slogans and accompanied by a soundscape that voices the political discourse on migration, Transfrontalier becomes a militant show that wants to cause a shift in thinking with its audience.
Zora Snake is one of the most promising artists of the contemporary dance scene in Cameroon. He questions prejudice and unmasks the deadly ideologies and views of our times.
