Indian theater maker and storyteller Abhishek Thapar creates visual and intimate performances in the area between documentary and fiction. He combines his personal stories with major global themes.
For his new performance, Thapar dives into the economics and politics of the holy cow in India. While enjoying freshly cooked biryani, he launches a brand of cow-based products. Has the time come for the export of the holy cow? Cow is a cow is a cow is a storytelling performance, dinner, documentary and political satire all rolled into one. An unfathomable domestic cow chase located within the web of religion and rationality, violence and economy, historical narratives and future speculations.
