Teens from Utrecht pay attention, this is a special call for you!

06.02.2025

Utrecht is the next stop for Teenage Songbook of Love & Sex, a unique musical performance featuring young people from Reykjavik. Together with local talents, and complemented with even more lyrics and songs written by young Utrechters, this makes for a unique one-off appearance in Stadsschouwburg Utrecht during SPRING.

SPRING Performing Arts Festival is looking for young people who want to participate in the musical performance Teenage Songbook of Love and Sex.

The Teenage Choir of Love and Sex performs a unique musical show in which young people from Reykjavik and Utrecht come together to sing about their own romantic and sexual experiences. With self-written songs and personal stories, they highlight love, sexuality and identity. At each edition, local young people join to write and perform new songs together with the Icelandic choir. The choir sings for themselves and for each other. They sing for love, curiosity and heartbreak. They sing for every virgin, every slut and every thirsty bitch – so that they never again feel alone have to feel alone. The result? A melodious ode to coming-of-age, celebrating love and sexuality in all its forms and colours.

Workshops with the creators of this performance will take place from April 3 to 6. Curious and want to sign up? Click the button below for more information and the registration form.
