Feedback is a form of conversation that facilitates mutual learning, frames critique, and generates valuable insights prompted by artistic creations and their resonances.

Feedback is a form of conversation that facilitates mutual learning, frames critique, and generates valuable insights prompted by artistic creations and their resonances. At best, feedback opens space and creates depth of understanding. In this hands-on workshop, Annika Hilger and Szymon Adamczak will share insights and methodology developed by In Pursuit of Otherwise Possibilities, a queer pedagogy platform based in Amsterdam. Together we will explore notions of promiscuous care, after-care, attunement and need-based, tailor-made feedback protocols. We will look into communal ways of developing a feedback culture which is rooted in queer ways of inhabiting the world and non-normative education. We will guide through mapping practices to uncover individual feedback needs and ways of (re)presenting and (un)curating personal practice to invite others in.

IPOP is made possible through funding from the Academy of Theatre and Dance, Amsterdam and is a project of the ATD Lectorate within the Thematic Collaboration Program  of the Amsterdam University of the Arts in collaboration with the National Film Academy.
