Three dancers trapped by horizontal rotating blades. The audience encircles the performers, preventing their escape. Nothing is possible than to face the confrontation. No time to stand still, no space for rest. The audience is made complicit in this struggle of the human body against forces greater than themselves. Wiek by Schweigman& was a big festival hit in 2009, for many a legendary experience in site-specific performance. In 2018 Wiek is being re-created with a new cast and a new twist in the choreography.
