I HAVE LIVED EVERYWHERE BUT HERE: nomadic intervention
During this Cultural Sunday April 6 at the Jaarbeursplein in Utrecht, SPRING Performing Arts Festival brings to the city the performance I HAVE LIVED EVERYWHERE BUT HERE: nomadic intervention, by young artistic tandem ashleyho+domeniknaue. The duo searches for a home in public space. In this performance they ask themselves what home means to them in a world that is constantly changing. How can they feel at home in transience?
A ‘retired’ piece of dance floor is peeled off the stage and carried into the city. Wherever it is rolled out, the floor and its inhabitants begin to build a new home. The audience is invited to join artists in an imaginative journey what “the home” means to them. Temporary sculptures form and fade, becoming shelters, cavities of intimacy – a living landscape. Later this May, Ashley and Domenik will present their new premiere within program of upcoming SPRING edition.
