Obsessive-compulsive disorders: there’s something about the endless drive for perfection. It is endlessly tempting, and so addictive. Something In This Universe, a solo by composer, musician and performer Genevieve Murphy, is balancing on the tipping point between control and destruc- tion. She creates an individualised space in which to lose yourself. A place to enjoy your own company – but also a place that will reveal your mortal fears, disappointments and self-neglect. Recently, Murphy has been fascinated by psychology and disability. Her work explores ways to communicate sensations that can feel intangible and incomprehensible.
