Musician Francesca Vincentie approaches universal themes with a personal expression, deriving from folk music, RnB and pop, and the strong oral storytelling culture of her home region Västerbotten (SE). With stories about migration, love and identity, told with her intimate voice and electro-acoustic music, she wishes to overlap differences between people and create a sense of belonging. Vincentie’s commitment to social justice is reflected in her art; she believes music is an excellent way to communicate and address societal issues. She has initiated many creative projects focusing on independence, identity and belonging and is co-creator of a non-profit organisation called “Bersama Collective”.
