Choy Ka Fai (1979) is a Berlin-based Singaporean artist, who works freely across the various disciplines of dance, theatre and visual art. His research springs from a desire to understand the conditioning of the human body, its intangible memories and the forces shaping its expressions. In results in complex works on the intersection of art, design and digital technology.
Choy Ka Fai graduated from the Royal College of Art in London, with a M.A. in Design Interaction. He was a resident artist at Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin (2014-15) and tanzhaus nrw in Düsseldorf (2017–2019). His projects have been presented in major festivals worldwide, including Sadler’s Wells in London, ImPulsTanz Festival in Vienna, and Tanz Im August in Berlin.
