Extra performance
Haribo Kimchi by Jaha Koo was on SPRING 2024’s programme last May, but unfortunately had to be canceled. Earlier it was announced that SPRING would still bring the production to Utrecht in the fall: on Saturday September 21 at 20:00 and Sunday September 22 at 15:00.
These two performances are now completely sold out! Because of this success, a third performance is happening on Sunday, September 22 at 20:00. Ticket sales for this third performance have already started; buy tickets now through our partner Theater Utrecht!
About the performance & context program
Haribo Kimchi is the first performance part of SPRING Days, a new concept from SPRING Performing Arts Festival, in which activities are organized throughout the year in Utrecht with local partners.
In this performance, Korean creator and composer Jaha Koo takes us on a culinary journey through various absurd and moving anecdotes, exploring food culture as a form of language that reveals the structure of a society.
After the performance on Saturday September 21, SPRING Academy, in collaboration with Theatre Utrecht, is organising an aftertalk with creator Jaha Koo, among others. Jaha Koo will also give a workshop on storytelling and ‘kitchen practices’ on Monday September 23.
