Caravana

Juan Onofri Barbato first came to the Netherlands with his powerful choreography Duramadre. For his new performance Caravana he is placing his audience all around a small dance floor and light/sound installation. During the performance, he and his creative partner Amparo González Sola manipulate light, sound and visuals, changing the space. They apply the notion of ‘tensegrity’: the self-balancing ability of a construction. Caravana is an intimate and physical experience that brings the audience into a ‘collective state of being’. Its creators are choreographers, performers, technicians and set designers all at once.
