PoroCity takes place in two worlds simultaneously: in the Stadskantoor and in a dream world evoked by two performers. Andrea Božic and Julia Willms have invited people to share their dreams. In the performance they stage the collected dreams inside the labyrinth of the building as though they were taking place in the here and now. The familiar yet elusive logic of dreams merges with everyday reality and in the overlap, a third space emerges – a porous space where anything is possible.
Part of the performance is the audiovisual installation Through The Looking Glasses by Andrea Božic, Julia Willms and Robert Pravda – a ‘no-space’ experience based on the Ganzfeld effect, which is a response of the human brain to unstructured visual stimulation. The installation can be visited half an hour before and after the performance, as well as at Stadsschouwburg Utrecht during the whole festival.
