Sung Im Her

Born in South Korea, Sung Im Her studied contemporary dance at Hansung University and later at P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels. After graduating, she worked extensively as a performer with leading European and Korean companies, including Les ballets C de la B, Needcompany and Jan Fabre/Troubleyn. Alongside this, she developed a distinct choreographic practice marked by physical intensity, precision and repetition.

Her work has been commissioned and supported internationally, including by the Korean Arts Council, Aerowaves, The Place London and Seoul Performing Arts Festival. Sung Im Her has received multiple awards and recognitions, including Best Emerging Artist (Korea, 2019) and Dance Artist of the Year (2022).
