Ivo Dimchev

Ivo Dimchev is a Bulgarian theatre maker, choreographer, visual artist, singer-songwriter, and queer activist. His work is anextreme, colorful fusion of performance art, dance, theatre, music, painting, and photography. Known for his provocative and deeply expressive style, he has created over 40 stage performances, earning numerous international awards in dance and theatre.

His book Stage Works 2002-2016 documents much of his theatrical work, while his Songbook collects over 100 of his original songs. Dimchev’s performances have been staged across Europe, North and South America, and Asia, captivating audiences with their boldness, humor, and unpredictability. Whether through song, movement, or visual art, he continuously challenges artistic and societal norms.
