David Bergé

David Bergé (Brussels/Athens) creates works that transform everyday life and objects into time- and book-based forms, often with a participatory aspect. He is best known for his Walk Pieces, immersive experiences where audiences accompany the artist on a 100-minute walk in silence. In these works, Bergé unveils hidden power structures and urban wounds, while navigating and interacting with the physical, social, and climatic conditions of urban space.

More recent works, such as David Bergé: Bialetti, A Catalogue (Spector Books, 2023), explore material writing and publishing. He also owns PHOTOGRAPHIC EXPANDED PUBLISHING ATHENS , an experimental publishing platform in Athens, where he co-founded with Ant Hampton Time Based Editions in 2023.
