Fotini Stamatelopoulou
Fotini Stamatelopoulou (she/her) is a choreographer and performance maker with a background in dance and performance psychology. She explores the intersections of performance, sound, and text, focusing on body image, emotion, and symbolism to shift spectators’ experiences. Her works, such as optimal soft (Onassis Stegi) and too.much (MIRfestival), have been presented at major venues. Fotini also collaborates as a movement director and assistant choreographer in theatre, visual arts, and film.
As an Onassis AiR Fellow for 2023/24, within the framework of the Grand Luxe Network, she participated in a series of residencies at Theatre Freiburg, Trois CL/Luxembourg, Grand Studio/Brussels, L’Abri/Geneva, and Pôle-Sud/Strasbourg. She co-curates the patches podcast, focusing on sound and choreography, and has been involved in radio broadcasts, including Radio (non-) Conference#2 (Athens). Fotini is the recipient of the EFFEA Springboard Residency (2025), supported by Latitudes Contemporaines, SPRING Performing Arts Festival, and MIRfestival.
